Here is how to brew Dahongpao (Rock Tea):
1: Prepare tools and tea leaves
Prepare a clean purple clay or glass teapot, or teacup.
Choose the right amount of Dahongpao Rock Tea, generally it is recommended to use 3-5 grams of tea leaves per 100ml of water.
2: Preheat the vessel
Preheat the teapot or teacup with boiling water first to keep the brewing temperature stable.
3: Brewing Steps
Place the Dahongpao Rock Tea into the preheated pot.
Brew Dahongpao using hot water around 95°C. The higher water temperature helps the rock tea to reveal its characteristic aroma and flavour.
The first steeping time is 20-30 seconds to allow the tea leaves to unfold slightly.
Subsequent brews can gradually increase the steeping time by about 10-15 seconds each time, until individual taste preferences are met.
4: Taste and Enjoy
Brewed Dahongpao rock tea broth is usually golden yellow in colour, with a unique rocky and fruity aroma.
Take a small sip and enjoy the sweetness, long-lasting flavour and rich rocky aroma.
5: Multiple brewing
Dahongpao Rock Tea is suitable for multiple brewing, as the number of times of brewing increases, the taste of the tea soup will change, you can adjust the steeping time and the amount of tea according to your personal taste.
